Domestic Care
You can rely on extra help to improve your quality of life.
What is domestic care?
Dementia is a progressive disorder that affects the cognitive functioning of the brain. It is a degenerative disease that primarily affects older adults, but can also affect younger individuals. As the disease progresses, it becomes increasingly difficult for individuals with dementia to perform day-to-day activities on their own. This is where dementia care comes in.
Dementia care is a type of specialised care that is given to people who are suffering from dementia. It is a broad term that encompasses a wide range of services that can help people with dementia to maintain their quality of life.
Our carers can assist with:
- Laundry and ironing: Domestic care also encompasses tasks related to laundry, including washing, drying, folding, ironing, and storing clothes.
- Cooking and meal preparation: This involves preparing meals, planning menus, grocery shopping, and cleaning up after meals.
- Pet care: Domestic care also encompasses taking care of pets, including feeding, grooming, exercising, and cleaning up after them
- Running errands: This includes tasks such as grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, going to the post office, and running other necessary errands for the household.
- Administrative tasks: This includes managing household expenses, paying bills, and keeping track of important documents such as insurance policies and legal documents.
